Error=041
Yesterday I had the unfortunate experience of getting this error message while trying to log back in after being oddly disconnected: Something to the effect of "Another client is currently logged in on your account, please try again in a few minutes." I'm 100% positive it is nothing keylogger-related, I have always been overly cautious in which websites I visit. I know of at least 5 of my friends/guildies who have had this identical error message, yet no harm came to anyone's account. So it leads me to believe it is some mistake in displaying the wrong error message when it is referring to a server overload or something(I'm not a technical expert). So if anyone has had this same error, or knows what is going on, please do let me know. I will get a screenshot of the error message if it ever happens again.

I have this error before and it scare the hell out of me. I actually changed my password that day and ever since i haven't seen that error yet. I think this is related to how many time you login and it happened to me the same way like it happened to you. I got disconnected one day and when i tried to log back, it said "another users is login into the accoutn" i was like holy crap and change everything and updated my firewall. I guess with the laggy server, it might left part of your character (or coding) within the server thus making it seem like your still login.

Yeah, it freaked me out also, I changed everything, passwords, etc. I do frequently switch between characters and accounts, since I have 6 PvE characters across 2 accounts, so that may have something to do with it. And when I think about it, all 5 of my friends that have had this happen all have several PvE characters as well as more than one account. So I'm sure it's nothing to be overly concerned about, but it still is a shocker no matter what.
But now that you mentioned it, I think you are right. I thought it was odd how once I clicked "Return to Outpost" after my team died in Hell's Precipice, the loading bar never progressed past 0% and just lagged out. So at that time there may have been tons of people in the Hell's Prec town, and the laggy server still read me as logged in, while I was trying to log back in. I just think that they should reword the error message, they make it sound very horrible. It should read something like "This account is already logged in, please try again in a few minutes." Removing the term "another client" would make it not sound so scary. Last edited by Rayne Nightfyre; Mar 02, 2006 at 08:04 PM // 20:04.. |

It's been happening sometimes to people right when there's a ton of lag. Happened to me yesterday when I was in Temple of the Ages.
